Lisa lives in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada and works as a full-time web developer at a local insurance company.

Henna is one of her favourite pastimes and she enjoys sharing the beauty of henna with others.  She also enjoys travelling, gardening, playing her Nintendo Wii and spending time with her husband, friends and family.

Lisa recently bought her first house and was married on a beach in St. Lucia, in the Caribbean on April 24, 2007.

How Lisa became interested in Henna

"My sister-in-law Holly introduced me to henna in 2005. She is a well-known henna artist, applying henna on celebrities, as well as for some popular concert footage.

"In April 2005, Holly had done a beautiful Indian design on my feet. I LOVED it. She left me a few cones of henna to do touch-ups, but I couldn’t stop at touch-ups. I began doing very small designs then worked up to larger, more intricate designs, styles ranging from traditional Indian to tribal.

"With a lot of practice on myself, my mom, my husband and my friends, I started to get pretty good!

"Holly was impressed with my results and commented that I should think about doing henna applications part-time by appointment...and naturally it piqued my interest! "
